Trask + I have started doing birth announcements. Well, I guess we 'started' almost 2 years ago when we made our little Taylor's announcement, but now we found another victim, I mean dear friend, that let us do their announcement, too. Above is Sweet Jill's birth announcement for her newest guy she added to her hunk collection (she now has 3 hunks in her possession - Wade, Byron and Ayden)... lucky girl. We are more than happy to work with other families to create fun and memorable announcements, invites and more.
Here's Taylor's announcement, but it looks a little bit different, the fonts didn't all come through the right way. Hmmm, anyway, you get the idea. (Pretend like the font is correct, please, it's really bothering me that it's not showing up right).
What we do for printing is have them printed like photographs, and a matte finish is always fancy, so they aren't expensive to print, so you don't have to pick and choose who gets an announcement, they are cheap enough to send them to everyone you know, and even strangers, because isn't it fun to show off your new kidlet?!
Here is the frame that I worked on for Trask's anniversary present. Pretty simple but SO much fun. I can't wait to do more. The next one will be different colored polka dots and inside the frame I am going to do just a simple lowercase 'r' for 'Rogers' obviously. Is anyone interested in a custom frame? Let me know, I love doing them -- so much fun!!
I also already got another card order from my sweet Aunt Michelle, so there are two more sets of six to gaze at. I will have to take a picture of them after they are all gift wrapped. (Which I happily do for free).
We'll be home today doing more cards and laying low since my little Taylor has a fever. Just have to go to the post office to mail off Linda's cards and then we're home for the day!
Can I tell you how much I LOVE making cards?! I have been having such a good time with some projects lately and wanted to share. These cards {above}are one of four sets that I made for Linda, a great gal that I met at the artisan fair. They are going to be mailed to her today or tomorrow. Thank you so much, Linda!! You are too kind.
These cards {above}were done for my Aunt Michelle who is giving them to a friend as a gift. (Isn't she a great friend?!) I finished them up this morning and love how they turned out. I got new paper yesterday and couldn't even wait to use it! My Aunt Michelle has to be the biggest supporter - in cards and in real life - THANK YOU! I love you more than I could explain.
Also, I have been working on some fun frames, I'll post those later today, so stay tuned. Not that you wouldn't. AND, Trask and I have been doing some announcements and invites, so I will slowly add some of them to the blog as well.
I had my first Artisan Fair last Saturday at the Jenkins Estate and LOVED every second of it. I got very few pictures of my table since we were busy, but that's a good thing! Thanks to all for stopping by, what a blessing it was to meet everyone and to see some familiar faces! I can't wait to make more cards! Let me know what you need!
Just an idea to throw out there, but I am always open to doing cards for some sort of trade, whether it's buttons from your button collection, fun fabric, cool paper, anything crafting, or whatever. Just thought I would throw that out there! Do what you want with it, but most of all, thanks so much for all the support!!
Got a handful of cards completed today, too, with another handful waiting for embellishments, stamps and extra love. Will finish and post those soon. Keep your pants on. Please. And thank you.
